Over recent weeks a number of residents have contacted me regarding the ongoing consultation on the Bromley town masterplan.
I can certainly understand the concern that has been raised by some as to the scale and density of the proposed scheme, and I have set out my own views in a formal response to consultation (copy attached below).
Whilst, in particular, I would like to see further details on how the infrastructure necessary for a development of this size will actually be delivered, I should stress that these proposals are only in the very earliest stages of development, and that we are some time away from any concrete decisions being taken.
I have been assured that any future plans will be announced, and properly consulted upon, with ample time for local stakeholders to respond, and will of course continue to monitor the progress of the masterplan closely over the coming months.
